Comstock History

Virginia City, Nevada, "The Comstock Lode" is one of the richest in history places in the US.  A fascinating history with great collectible potential that will never go down in value.  The history of underground mining in America begins in Nevada.  Nevada begins in Virginia City. Mark Twain got his start here as did William Hearst, Stanford, and many others that went on to have impact in numerous ways on the industrial development of America.  Over 700 million dollars (6 to 8 Billion in todays dollars) were taken from the ground around Virginia City, Nevada.  In print and out of print material, historical documents, maps, stock, banking documents and other history and collectibles from Virginia City and the Comstock are available here.
