This beautiful, colorized, reprint of the original birds eye view of Virginia City from 1875 is done on heavyweight paper. Produced to promote the mining industry on the Comstock by encouraging investments in the gold and silver mines and mills. Theoriginal was drawn by Augustus Koch in1875. Shipped rolled in a tube. Measures: 18x22 inches. Beautiful framed. 1875 was the virtual height of the mining industry inVirginia City and just prior to the Great Fire in October of the same year. Highly detailed drawing.
